Coolmine double up with Byrne Cup win

Coolmine secured their second piece of silverware in the space of six days as their second XV beat Seapoint in the Byrne Cup final.

Coolmine's seconds looked like they were well on their way to their third league win in a row but they slipped back into third place after results didn't go their way in the latter stages of the season.

But the 30-10 win, thanks to tries from Brian Moran, Ger O'Rourke, Brian Smyth, Darren Kenna and Dave McCullough, made up for the disappointment.

Team managers Eddie Melvin and Paul Fogarty saw a season of hard work pay off with the performance of the year and were delighted with the win.
