CONNACHT v Edinburgh,
The Sportsground, Saturday (KO 5.0)
The rumour mill has moved into gear with Connacht making a plea to the IRFU to prevent Leinster from calling on Ireland lock Mike McCarthy at the end of the season, writes Des Berry.
If the speculation is true, it is up to the Union to resist any attempts by Leinster to further destabilise a province that is already overlooked financially as it bids to attract a new coach to take it to the next level.
Currently, Connacht is one of four clubs, along with tomorrow's guests Edinburgh, who have lost twice as many matches as they have won in the league.
They should have made a positive impact on the league table during the international window. They lost two out of three for a gain of four points out of a possible 15, including bonus points.
