Leicester Tigers Director of Rugby Richard Cockerill nailed it on the head.

"Munster have found themselves again, haven't they?" he said.

There is something of the old Munster about the way their spirit has been revived in the shadow of Anthony Foley's passing.

They have shot to the head of the PRO12 and lead Pool One in Europe.

"We know it's going to be tough. But, I'm sure we can go there and make a good fist of it," said Cockerill.

Of course, it was the English club that ended Munster's long unbeaten stretch in Europe back in 2007.

A story from that day which encapsulated the apparent invincibility of Munster lingers with the then Tigers forwards coach.

"It's what it means to the people of the city really," he said.

"I can remember walking down beside the terracing at the old Thomond Park. There was a kid about seven or eight there.

"He went: 'Jeez mister, you're a brave man coming here.' That sort of summed it up for me."

It sure to feel just like old times at Thomond.
