Clubs can takes Scots' scalp

LEINSTER clubs Clontarf and St Mary's lead the representative list with three each on the Ireland side to take on Scotland tonight.

Scotland Clubs v Ireland Clubs, Ayr, Tonight, 7.30

'Tarf have supplied locks Simon Crawford and Ben Reilly and centre Killian Lett.

St Mary's offer fly-half Gavin Dunne, making his debut at this level, left wing Darragh Fanning and prop Colm McMahon.

UCD are going well in Division 1B and this is recognised by the selection of hooker Risteard Byrne and flanker Danny Kenny in a side captained by scrum-half Gerry Hurley.

The champions-elect Lansdowne are not as prominent as one might expect, leading try-scorer Cian Ahearne is charted on the right wing as their only contributor in a match which is almost impossible to call.
