County Carlow Rugby Club will hold a special Reeling Back The Rugby Years reunion on the May 10. Club members, past and present, are invited to come to the Club's Oakpark home.
The trawl of members of this historic Club for the Reeling Back The Rugby Years party goes right back to the 1950s and forward to the present. Carlow won the Towns Cup for the fourth time in 1957. Eight more victories pushed the club into the all-time lead in this competition. In the late 90s the club made history when it gained promotion and shot to Division 1 of the All-Ireland League. More recently, Carlow's ladies have added their talents and trophies to the club's great rugby tradition.
Friendships at Carlow Rugby Club were and are not confined to action on the field. Pavilion and executive members too are invited to May's event.
The organising committee, headed by Tommy Doyle (087 2633447), wants everybody to spread the news of Carlow Rugby's Reeling Back The Rugby Years well in advance of the event.
Photographs, match reports, memorabilia most welcome. News and suggestions gratefully received by: email@example.com
