Blues coy on signing Denton

There is strong speculation that Leeds Carnegie's Ireland-qualified second row Tom Denton has signed for Leinster.

"There is nothing to say on that at the moment," said Leinster manager Guy Easterby.

"There will be in the next couple of weeks when we announce a few of the signing that we have made.

"I know him because he is Irish qualified and he has certainly been talked about over the last couple of years."

Yorkshire-born Denton is 6'6" and 17 1/2 stones. The 24-year-old made his first team debut for Leeds against Nottingham in August 2008.

He has played 60 times for the first team and has been spoken of as a possible England international of the future.

Last year, Leeds coach Neil Back was glowing in his praise of Denton ahead of their relegation: "He is one of the bright stars of the Premiership and a potential England international of the future."
