Bennett calls on same from Welsh

Hooker Huw Bennett has urged the Wales pack to back up its impressive showing against South Africa when they face Samoa next Sunday.

Wales limited the Springboks to just 40pc possession in Wellington, which compounded the agony of their 17-16 Pool D defeat to the 2007 champions.

Bennett and company must beat Samoa to stay in control of their quarter-final destiny, with Wales coach Warren Gatland likely to retain the starting line-up that ran South Africa so close.

"It doesn't surprise me that our pack went so well," Bennett said. "We don't usually enjoy that much ball against these teams. It has got to be backed up now."
