THE brand new All-Ireland League champions Clontarf will go toe-to-toe with the Barbarians in the 'Battle of Clontarf' at Castle Avenue this evening.

CLONTARF v THE BARBARIANS

Castle Avenue (Today 5.30)

The exciting prospect was organised to mark the 1,000th anniversary of the Battle of Clontarf with international referee Nigel Owens to be the man in the middle.

The invitational Baa-Baas bring five full internationals in Wales prop Ben Evans, their captain, Ceri Sweeney, England flanker Dean Schofield, Namibia scrum-half Ryan De La Harpe and Germany prop Rob Ellaway to what promises to be an entertaining evening.

ELECTRIC

The atmosphere will be guaranteed electric as 'Tarf are celebrating their first AIL Championship on the final day of the season last Saturday.
