ULSTER and Ireland winger, Andrew Trimble, will miss the rest of this season following confirmation that he has suffered a reoccurrence of the toe injury that he sustained in October against Glasgow Warriors.

Trimble (pictured) underwent surgery in London yesterday and is expected to be out of competitive action until the summer.

It is anticipated that he will make a full recovery ahead of pre-season and the Rugby World Cup.

Trimble was one of the stars of Ireland's victorious 2014 Six Nations campaign, scoring tries against Scotland, Italy and France.

ENGLAND have named an unchanged team to face Italy in the Six Nations at Twickenham tomorrow - sticking with the starting 15 who beat Wales 21-16 in their opener last week.

It means Jonathan Joseph, who scored a try against Wales, and George Kruis will make their first Twickenham starts.

Coach Stuart Lancaster's replacement bench is also unchanged with Sale fly half Danny Cipriani, who has not featured in a home international since 2008, again one of his backup options.

ENGLAND (v Italy): M Brown; A Watson, J Joseph, L Burrell, J May; B Youngs, G Ford; J Marler, D Hartley, D Cole; D Attwood, G Kruis; J Haskell, C Robshaw, B Vunipola.
