I spoke to a few people during the week who really enjoyed RTE's documentary 'Power In The Blood - The Story Of The Irish Thoroughbred which was aired on Monday night and is worth catching if you happened to miss it.
People were full of praise for it and I think it showed that racing and the industry is multidimensional and how much of a leading industry we are on a global level and how good we are at it.
The programme was an enjoyable insight into horseracing and breeding in Ireland.
This is a very important industry and it generates huge income for the country and brings an awful lot of foreign wealth into the country.
For rural Ireland the industry is hugely important and across the island it creates so much employment and people should not lose sight of that.
