IT'S been on the impressive side of compelling, this Tipperary response to the spurning to their big chance in Páirc Uí Rinn in the Munster SFC semi-final.
And apparently the great shame of their victory over Laois in Portlaoise two weeks back was only in the fact that the match wasn't televised, as for anyone present have been vocal and repetitive in their belief that it was the match of the season.
They always had the potential to explode as they did that day, particularly with the exiting Conor Sweeney now in tow with Barry Grogan in attack.
But what will hearten those of a big ball persuasion in Tipp most is the fact that after concedeng three goals to allow Laois draw level from ten points down at half-time, they mustered enough quality to kick on again.
Conversely, there is nothing so chastising for Galway as a heavy defeat to Mayo, like the two they've been given in the past two seasons.
Such wounds, historically, don't heal quickly in Galway.
So while it might constitute only a minor shock in the grand scheme of things, Tipp should qualif to play Kerry.
