WLADIMIR Klitschko says he's not going to hang around waiting for David Haye or Alexander Povetkin as his next challenger for the WBO and IBF heavyweight titles.
If neither is available, he says he will have a return with Samuel Peter.
When they met five years ago, Klitschko had to climb off the floor three times before taking a unanimous points decision.
"I feel I am getting better and better. There is more where this came from," said Klitschko after stopping American Eddie Chambers in the 12th and last round in Germany last weekend.
Abraham unphazed by Dirrell in Detroit
BERLIN-based Armenian Arthur Abraham is not worried about having to face Andre Dirrell tonight in Detroit, just 65 miles from his opponent's hometown of Flint, Michigan.
"This is a really big chance for me to be a big star in America, it's what I have been looking for," said Abraham (31-0) before the second stage bout in Showtime's Super Six World Boxing Classic.
Dirrell, whose only loss in 19 fights was on a split decision to Carl Froch in the first stage of the super-middleweight tournament, said: "This is a do-or-die situation for me."
Maloney planning to keep Lindsay busy
PROMOTER Frank Maloney predicts that Belfastman Martin Lindsay will be the next big star in Irish boxing and will fill the gap left by Bernard Dunne's retirement.
Lindsay took his record to 16-0 by impressively outpointing Jamie Arthur in defence of his British featherweight title in Leigh, Lancashire, last weekend.
"The aim is to keep Martin busy and I want to make sure his next fight, another British title defence, is in Belfast," said Maloney.
Morales on a mission
ERIK Morales, who retired two and a half years ago, comes back tonight in Monterrey, Mexico, to take on Jose Alfaro for the vacant WBC intercontinental welterweight title.
"I'm hungry to win this fight and go on to become the first Mexican to win world titles in four weight divisions," said Morales.
Quote of the week
"I'm getting married on April 24. My gift to my wife will be Abraham's head" -- Andre Dirrell before tonight's showdown with Arthur Abraham.
