Warren floored by Khan flight Watson moves ahead Bryant stars in LA win

BOXING: Promoter Frank Warren has branded Amir Khan as disloyal after the WBA light-welterweight champion defected to America.

Khan, 23, left Warren after five years last weekend to join up with Golden Boy Promotions.

Warren was critical of the way Khan's camp handled the situation: "I was gutted at the way Amir Khan and his team brought our partnership to an end. These days it seems loyalty is a quality bestowed in very few sportsmen."

Greipel solidifies lead

CYCLING: Andre Greipel is on course to win the Tour Down Under for the second time in three years after another strong showing in today's fifth stage.

Greipel holds an 11-second lead going into tomorrow's final stage around Adelaide.

Team Sky's Greg Henderson finished ninth and is 24 seconds adrift in the overall classification.

Watson moves ahead

GOLF: Bubba Watson moved to the top of the leaderboard as the second-round finally got under way at the rain-hit Bob Hope Classic in California.

The soggy conditions did nothing to hamper Watson, however, as he sits two shots ahead of fellow American Alex Prugh on 16-under par.

Bryant stars in LA win

NBA: Kobe Bryant came on strong in the closing stages to inspire the Los Angeles Lakers to a 115-105 over the Knicks in New York.
