Phil Taylor has dominated the world of darts for the best part of three decades and going in search of a 17th World Championship over the next month he is the current 2/1 favourite with Boylesports.

The World Championships begin next Thursday and it'll be last year's winner Michael van Gerwen (11/4) who stars on the opening night.

Gary Anderson has certainly underachieved during his time with the PDC but is coming in here in good form and will prove popular.

Last year's beaten finalist Peter Wright shouldn't be ruled out of going on another extended run at 40/1, but Dave Chisnall could be this years darkhorse at 33/1.

Boylesports Bet: Phil Taylor 2/1, Michael van Gerwen 11/4, Gary Anderson 13/2, Adrian Lewis 11/1, James Wade 14/1, Stephen Bunting 18/1, 33/1 Bar
