Stoke in hunt for Irish pair

ANTHONY PILKINGTON and Noel Hunt are both being tracked by Stoke City boss Tony Pulis, writes PAUL HYLAND.

Hunt is nearing the end of his deal with Reading but has yet to discuss a new contract, and Pulis is mulling over the possibility of a summer bid.

Pulis tried to sign Pilkington from Huddersfield in 2011 but was unsuccessful and believes that the Norwich winger can give him width he has been lacking all season. Ireland fans have been waiting for Pilkington's senior international debut since he completed passport formalities early in February but injuries intervened.
