Rivals have Worc cut out

Tomorrow the second event in the Fixx Supercross Cup goes to post in Ward Park, Swords, Co Dublin, writes TOMMY CAMPBELL.

Team Worc are the club behind the promotion of the series over five events.

One man continues to dominate the scene of cyclo-cross and in the opener, Worc's Robin Seymour showed the true grit to win the first event of the season in Clondalkin.

But, for the first time in many a long year, he was put to the pin of his collar.

Ryan Sherlock of Cycleways CC and Sean O'Tuathaill of Bray Wheelers certainly gave Robin, who is rightly regarded as the 'King' of the scene, a run for his money. In the end, Sherlock finished second and O'Tuathaill third. It is generally anticipated that Seymour will come firing on all cyclinders tomorrow.
