Rising stars get taste of Ulster tour at Omagh training day

Dan Curtin's successful training camp in Charleville, Co Cork, heads to Omagh for the weekend of February 5 and 6.

The second national training camp, at the Silverbirch Hotel in Omagh, will provide cyclists with excellent accommodation and access to challenging training roads used in the Tour of Ulster.

Cycling Ireland will have experienced mentors on hand to give younger riders valuable advice and guidance, and there will be coaching experts available to provide specialist advice.

Attendance at the camp will be essential for selection onto Development squads

The camp is once again aimed at men and women at relevant ages, and there will be a series of fitness tests arranged in provinces to test riders in advance of the camp.

Test results will be used to form target groups which will be monitored during the training camp.
