Princess Leah match deserves your support

A more than worthy match is scheduled for Friday, June 7 (7pm Kick-Off), with the Georgina Donnelly Cup the prize for the winner and the proceeds going to the Princess Leah Fund.

Kildare Town AFC (Tactical Wizards), made up of underage coaches will take on Kildare Town AFC (U 16 Cheeky brats) at Rathbride Road with all players donating to play in the game.

Leah is a six-year-old girl who was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor in 2012. She lives with her parents Sabrina and Johnny and her 10-year-old brother Jordan.

She is currently undergoing chemotherapy as part of her cancer treatment but she has been given just a 10 per cent chance of survival.

Her parents and family are trying desperately to raise enough money to be able to bring her overseas for treatment, should that have to happen.

If you are in the locality or would like to support the cause, it's a worthy cause. The club is donating half of the money from any tea or coffee sold in the cafe at the event and everybody is welcome.
