NECSL final dates for cups, shields

The NECSL have earmarked Saturday 11 May, and Tuesday 13 May as the dates for staging all the Cup and Shield Finals. The venues for all finals shall be the MDL grounds in Navan, and Kells-Blackwater's pitch at the Grange outside Kells

Parkvilla FC unveil Museum Exhibition

County Meath's most renowned Club, Parkvilla are putting together an exhibition of Football memerobilia on the history of the club, right from the origins of the game in the Navan area from the early 1940s to the present day achievements both on and off the field of play.

The most recent reflection was the heart breaking exit from the FAI Senior Cup following the conceding of an injury time goal to Blarney United in Cork.

The reward for the Cork side is a mouth watering clash at home to current League of Ireland high flyers Derry City.

The reflection will surely be on what might have been. The exhibition takes place at Claremont Stadium starting at 8.15 on Friday 24 May, and will run for three days.

Garda Vetting 'info' evenings for clubs

Under the National Vetting Bureau Act 2012, all sport club members i.e. coaches, trainers, mentors etc who provide sports activities to children and persons who are in direct contact with children or vulnerable persons on an ongoing and regular need to be vetted. Once the Act commences it will be a legal requirement for individuals to complete the Garda Vetting process. T

The first workshop is scheduled for Thursday 9 May in the MDL grounds Navan commencing at 6.30pm.
