Mud and guts on display for Armagh Cyclo-Cross

Topping the bill tomorrow is the 2011 National Cyclo-Cross championships.

It's happening at Lurgan Park, County Armagh -- by all accounts one of the best venues in the country.

There will be a full range of support races for the U8s up to the U16s. Sign on opens at 9.30. The Junior CX championships and the National (senior) CX Championships will take place at 1pm.

Of course, as always at Lurgan Park, it will be the jumps that attract the local spectators.

As regards the main event, there was talk that a former champion, Robin Seymour, would miss it. But I am reliably informed that he is going to Lurgan in search of a 17th title.

Last year's winner Joe McCall will defend the title.

Everything is in place for a fantastic event.
