Monty misery in Wales

GOLF: Colin Montgomerie was back at the scene of arguably his greatest triumph today – but it was not shaping up to be a happy return.

The Scot had a double bogey on the 12th hole but worse was to come on the third with a triple bogey. He recovered after with two birdies on the fifth and sixth. Paul McGinley was one under at the turn with Lee Slattery the early clubhouse leader on four under (67).
