THE Leinster Senior Schoolgirls Premier league semi-final draw was made last Thursday, with Mount Sackville to play Rathdown while Alexandra College will meet St Andrew's.
Mount Sackville completed the final-four line-up with a 2-1 win over Wesley just before Christmas, which pulled them level with Andrew's on 14 points at the head of the division, meaning they needed a play-off to see who topped the pool.
A similar situation occurred in Section B where Alexandra College tied with Rathdown on 15 points, leading to a play-off which the Milltown outfit won 2-0.
In Mount Sackville's 2-1 extra-time win, Molly Higgins-Jackson got the winner, less than 30 seconds from the end of the first period of silver goal.
Andrew's hit the front when Claudia Larmour mopped up the second phase of the fourth set piece.
Sarah Hawkshaw, though, was a star performer for Sackville and she duly created and completed her side's equalising goal.
From there, the hosts rode their luck as St Andrew's ran up nine corners. They found Eimear Byrne in top form, though, as the goalkeeper kept her side in it.
From a quick break, Mount Sackville won the day amid a huge scramble on the goal-line but the ball eventually fell to Higgins-Jackson to shovel the ball over the line.
Mount Sackville will now play Rathdown on January 21 while Alex meet St Andrew's on January 16 in the semi-finals.
