Lacey in Easter hunt to defend Ras Mumhan crown

Greg Dempsey (Barrow Wheelers), David Cassidy (Cycleogical), Sean Lacey (Dan Morrissey/Speedy-Spokes) and Adam Armstrong (EuroCycles) have one thing in common.

They all came up trumps in the respective stage races that took place over the Easter period last season. Greg was successful in Rás Chonamara, David in the An Post Gorey, Sean in the Kerry Group Rás Mumhan and Adam in the P&O Ferries Tour of the North.

This Easter, cycling hopes to be blessed with the same weather as last year! We have only Lacey as a defending champion in the Kerry Group Rás Mumhan.

So, there will be three new names in the winner's enclosure come Monday afternoon. The Kerry Group Ras Mumhan is expected to go right down to the wire, as it did last year when Lacey won a memorable victory over Dutch team Ruiter Dakkapellen Wielerteam's Bram Imming who lost out on the final stage.

Action got under way in Kerry Group Mumhan and the PO Ferries Tour of the North yesterday afternoon.

The first stage of the Mumhan started and finished in Killorglin yesterday afternoon where the weather was dull and downcast.
