Junior Tour gets in gear

The scene is set for the 34th edition of the Junior Tour which starts next Tuesday in Castlebar, Co Mayo, writes Tommy Campbell.

Based out of Lough Lannagh Holiday Village in Castlebar, the six-day event will cover 450 kilometres.

The organisation has stayed faithful to the 2010 route, which served up fantastic racing with a first overall victory going to Stuart Wright (USA) and his team, Hot Tubes.

The Americans are back this year, but with a new team.

Over the years, South Africa's success here has been limited. This time out they are sending seven competitors, including their current Junior champion Kevin Patten.
