Grip tightens after a fun and epic renewal

THE echo of The Grip lingers on. Prizes went far and wide.

The tournament, named in honour of Kevin Blackburn, continues to top the poll. Players of all different standards compete.

Among the Dublin winners were CPM, Lucan, Old County, Glenville and RGSC.

Also earning the prizes were Ryston, McDonagh, Bellewstown and Collinstown.

Officials say the event is now cemented into the calendar forever more. Its four-course three-person team format is a delicious combination.

But, most of all, it is the enjoyment that the competition inspires that makes it such a winner.
