BOXING: Ken Egan was in London today with Irish President Mary McAleese, Olympic Council of Ireland chief Pat Hickey and FAI CEO John Delaney for a tour of the 2012 Olympic village.
However, Egan, back in training yesterday after his Elite Senior Championships semi-final win over Denis Hogan on Friday, won't stay in London for the Ireland-Brazil game tomorrow and will return home tonight to prepare for his title defence against Tommy McCarthy this Friday.

ATHLETICS: Derval O'Rourke showed she's still on track for the upcoming World Indoors 60m hurdles when she recorded a season-best of eight seconds flat when finishing second at the Floro International in Norway.
The Leevale star was forced to pull out of the Birmingham GP a week ago because of illness but she bounced back by improving her previous season-best -- 8.11 -- when winning her heat in 8.06 and then coming second in the final with 8.00 behind Norway's Folake Akinyemi, who won with a new Norwegian record of 7.94.

BASKETBALL: DCU Saints defeated champions Killester to finish third in the Nivea For Men's SuperLeague Northern Conference and ensure progress to the play-offs quarter-final stage.

Djokovic wins Dubai title after rain delay

Hamilton top in final pre-season testing
F1: Lewis Hamilton signed off McLaren's pre-season testing run on a high as the Briton topped the timesheets in Barcelona. The 2008 world champion's best time of 1:20.472 was two-hundredths of a second faster than Mark Webber's Red Bull.
