ST MARY'S completed the Leinster schoolboys cricket cup double last Friday when their junior side repeated the trick that their senior counterparts managed three days earlier.
CRICKET: At a chilly Wesley College, Mary's produced a pitch-perfect run chase to again leave St Andrew's with silver medals, matching the outcome of the senior final.
Andrew's batted first, posting a competitive total of 130 from their 30 overs. Oisin Farrell with 3-32 was the pick of the St Mary's bowlers.
Andrew's total proved too few as St Mary's knocked off the runs with 23 balls to spare. An opening partnership of 65 between Eamon Byrne (32) and Conor O'Gorman (64 not out) took the match away from St Andrew's.
