Goalkeeper Sean Coffey saved two penalties as Wicklow dented Arklow's treble hopes to lift the WDSL U12 Premier Division Shield.

The match at the Woodlands in Greystones in Sunday May 12 was the sixth meeting between the teams in all competitions, with 'the Town winning three times in Cup and Shield (two group) while the two League games were drawn.

Coffey saved Arklow's second and third spot kick's with Liam Moore netting the Black and White's only successful 12-yarder.

Fiachra O'Briain, Ryan Corrigan and Dylan Frazer converted Wicklow's first three dead-ball before Sean Leonard slotted in the winning penalty.

Arklow had taken a 20th minute lead through Joshua Mills. But Rovers equalised before half time from Corrigan's excellent free-kick.

Greystones showed perseverance does pay off as they finally defeated Wicklow this season at the SIXTH attempt.

Wicklow had previously won all five previous Shield group and League games as well as the Shield final.

But at the Woodlands on Sunday May 12, United got the better of their opponents in the WDSL U13 Premier Division Cup decider.

They raced into a 2-0 lead inside the opening nine minutes, courtesy of Richard Williams' first goal of the season and Jack Kennedy's powerful header from a corner.

Rovers pulled one back before the break through Patrick O'Keane.

But two quick fire goals early in the second half saw 'Stones take a 4-1 advantage with Kennedy's cross-shot finding the top corner and then Callum Jones's composed finish.Luca Rampersaud bagged a late consolation for the previously unbeaten Wicklow.

A seven-goal second barrage helped St. Anthony's secure the WDSL U15 Division 1 Cup.

Amazingly, the game was tied at 1-1 at half time with Dillon Carthy scoring for the Saint's and Craig Byrne netting Avonmore's equaliser at Ballinalea Park in Ashford.

But in a game that saw no less than three penalties awarded, Dillon Carthy went on to complete his hat-trick after the interval.

However, he was outdone by Kenneth Turner's four-goal salvo.

Sean Carthy completed their tally with Saoirse Kearon claiming the Rathdrum side's spot-kick reply.

A Conor Clinton brace paved the way for Coolboy to win the WDSL U10 Division 2 Cup.

In what was the fourth meeting between the teams this season, Rangers claimed their third victory over the 'Town in all competitions at Ferndale Park in Arklow on Sunday May 12.

With Clinton scoring once in each half, Declan Tuohy was Coolboy's other marksman as they led 2-1 at the break. And 3-1 in the second half.

Jack O'Reilly registered Wicklow' first half equaliser and pulled another back before the final whistle.
