Murphy's law seals the deal

A CHILLY blustery wind  scuppered the chances of fast times at the GV Ryan IMC Meet in Santry; sprinters were running into a -2.8 headwind.

In the 400m, Brian Murphy (inset) of host club Crusaders ran a time of 47.74 secs, while Kilkenny's Eoin Everard won a competitive 800m in 1:49.19.  Hurdler Ger O'Donnell won the 200m and was second in the 100m - a useful workout.

John Coghlan of MSB had to be content with second in the 1500m in 3:48.52, while Raheny's Conor Dooney was a runaway winner of the 3000m in 8:25.76. In the women's 800m, Kilmore's Fiona Kehoe was first in 2:10.01.
