ROY KEANE is now odds on to be appointed Leicester City boss after nine months spent kicking his heels and waiting for the right offer.
The Corkman will continue his work with ITV for tonight's Champions League coverage but sources suggest that Leicester's backers, Asian Football Investments, are ready to commit and that this could be his last paid media outing for some time.
Keane's huge profile in Thailand while he was Manchester United skipper makes him a natural fit for cash-rich AFI, which operates from a base in Thailand and has wide interests across the Far East.
He is desperate to return to management as soon as possible and it is thought that AFI have already had extensive discussions with Keane's representative, Michael Kennedy, in Manchester last week.
Keane left Ipswich in January and has been out in the cold ever since. Recent media work was clearly an effort to put his name in the shop window and by the looks of things, with some success.
