Hunt's reserves run-out

STEPHEN HUNT will step up his bid to win a place in the Ireland squad for the Euro 2012 finals tonight when he makes an appearance for the Wolves reserves against Manchester United.

Hunt was forced to undergo surgery on a groin problem earlier this month in a bid to cure a long-standing ailment and he was then faced with a race against time to prove his fitness to the Ireland management.

Wolves, already relegated from the Premier League, will give Hunt a run-out in a home reserve game this evening and if he comes through that, add the winger to the squad for Saturday's dead rubber against Swansea City.

Meanwhile, Stephen Kelly is ready to play against Everton on Saturday with strapping to convince Trap he is fit to travel to Poland.
