Society ready to Rock Black Caviar

BLACK CAVIAR will take on a maximum of 20 rivals in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot on Saturday.

The Australian wonder mare has not frightened off all the opposition so far as she seeks to stretch her 100pc record to 22 races in the six-furlong Group One.

Peter Moody's pride and joy could be accompanied by compatriot Ortensia, who was set to run in today's King's Stand Stakes along with Roger Charlton's Bated Breath and French raider Wizz Kid.

The James Fanshawe-trained Society Rock will try to repeat his win from the Jubilee Stakes 12 months ago, while Freddie Head's Moonlight Cloud is another fancy.

Among the other overseas possibles are the Bahrain-trained Krypton Factor and Restiadargent from France.

Aidan O'Brien has left in Crusade, Jersey Stakes entry Reply and After.

Other hopefuls include Genki, Hitchens, Pastoral Player, The Cheka and Bogart.
