Robbie visits Navan races

ONE of the most pleasing elements of yesterday's action at Navan was seeing Robbie McNamara in attendance.

There was a queue of well-wishes surrounding McNamara as he enjoyed a day out of the hospital surroundings and watched the horse with whom he won a bumper on when Forgotten Rules made a winning debut a year ago.

Winning trainer Dermot Weld was straight over to McNamara after the race and the Limerick native also hopes to be at the Irish Guineas meeting at the Curragh this coming weekend.

Owners Moyglare on Friday announced that they would be donating a percentage of Forgotten Rules' earnings this season to the Injured Jockeys Fund.
