Rainbow will not light up Tingle Creek

BOOKMAKERS Paddy Power will refund all bets on the Nicky Henderson-trained Finian's Rainbow, following yesterday's announcement that he will not take part in Saturday's Tingle Creek at Sandown, writes Niall Cronin.

Henderson was not happy that his top novice chaser from last season was ready to make his seasonal debut and have his first run out of novice company, and Kempton next month is now on his agenda.

That news has seen Henry de Bromhead's Queen Mother Champion Chase hero Sizing Europe shorten further in the betting, as he reverts back to two miles and Power's make him the 11/8 favourite for the race, although 7/4 is available with Boylesports and Ladbrokes.

Meanwhile, Colm Murphy has opted against sending his Gold Cup hopeful Quito De La Roque to Sandown on Friday.

The Wexford handler gave the Grade One winner a precautionary entry for the Future Stars Chase but he will now head for the John Durkan at Punchestown next week instead.

Jessica Harrington will run Bostons Angel, however. The RSA Novice Chase winner will travel to England with Robbie Power on board.
