Options aplenty for Fame

Jamie Spencer believes all options are open to Fame And Glory this year.

Still trained by Aidan O'Brien, owners Jim and Fitri Hay purchased a significant share in the five-year-old in the off season and the entire ran in their familiar pink and green colours when making a winning comeback in the Vintage Crop Stakes at Navan.

He holds entries in races as diverse as the Irish Champion Stakes over 10 furlongs and the two-and-a-half-mile Ascot Gold Cup but Spencer also thinks he could bid to win back-to-back Coronation Cups at Epsom.

"Last year he ran a mile and a quarter and a mile and a half all year but he made a really nice start at Navan," said Spencer.

"He won the Coronation Cup well last year and that's obviously an option but I suppose he could pack in that and Ascot.

"The main thing about the run the other day was that he settled."
