Morawij can Scurry to Sandown win

MORAWIJ holds outstanding claims in the Novae Bloodstock Insurance Scurry Stakes at Sandown.

A simple reproduction of his effort in the Temple Stakes should be good enough, as he drops down to Listed level.

That effort on Merseyside behind Royal Ascot-bound types such as Kingsgate Native, Swiss Spirit and Reckless Abandon has a rock-solid look to it.

Morawij ran a screamer against the older horses there – as did Reckless Abandon, who must go well next week.

Slightly more give underfoot is expected in Esher than the quick conditions at Haydock, and a drop or two of rain would be in his favour.

Keep the faith with Theodore Gericault in the Cash Out Multiples Only On Betfair Handicap.

Once raced as a two-year-old in a trip that worked out well and gelded during the winter, he confirmed that promise when reappearing over seven furlongs at Lingfield in April.

He again looked good stepped up to 10 furlongs in a Pontefract handicap but the wheels came off last time at this venue. The winner, Mutashaded, is held in very high regard and it did not look the same Theodore Gericault that we saw in West Yorkshire.

Questioning is a pretty decent shout in the Ian And Kate Hall Macmillan Ganton Stakes at York. John Gosden's Group Three-winning entire made a perfectly fine return at Nottingham last month, when he got to within half a length of the capable Moonstone Magic.

Lexington Rose veered left in the Hilary Needler at Beverley, but compensation awaits at Musselburgh in the william-hill.com EBF Stallions Conditions Stakes, while Teetotal would be an ironically-named winner of the Kronenbourg Handicap at Leicester.

Chrissycross nearly always saves her best form for the Lingfield all-weather, and can hammer home the point in the Hurst Green Shires Handicap.

Captain Ryan was an eye-catching third at Goodwood in May and is expected to feature in the Profab Windows Maiden Auction Stakes at Bath.

Bafana Choice unseated his jockey at Hexham last time but can be followed at the Northumberland circuit in the Book A Private Box At Hexham Handicap Chase.
