KAREN KENNY remains in a stable condition in hospital following a fall at Tramore on Saturday evening.

The 7lb claimer was knocked unconscious when she was unshipped from Our Pearl two furlongs from home in the opening mile-and-a-half maiden.

Kenny was airlifted to Cork University Hospital, where she underwent a brain scan, which revealed what was described as a "small subdural haemorrhage".

She was reported to be "much brighter" on Sunday, however, and the Irish Turf Club's senior medical officer Dr Adrian McGoldrick (pictured) said yesterday there was no significant change in her condition.

McGoldrick said: "She remains stable and I don't think there will be anything new to report for a few days.

"It is just a case of observing her now and I hope to go down and see her myself on Thursday, so hopefully we'll have more news after that."
