A trip to Ireland could be on the cards for Gospel Choir following his brave effort in defeat in the Princess Of Wales's Stakes at Newmarket.
While plans remain fluid for the six-year-old gelding, trained by Sir Michael Stoute, the Palmerstown House Estate Irish St Leger at the Curragh on September 13 is on the radar.
Chris Richardson, racing manager for owners Cheveley Park Stud, said: "It was a good run in the Princess Of Wales's Stakes from Gospel Choir, but it might have come a little bit quick after his Listed race win, while the ground was probably quick enough or him.
"He has come out of the race fine and we will wait for decent ground for him.
"When I spoke to Sir Michael (Stoute) regarding the entry in the Irish St Leger, he was quite open to the idea and we are seriously considering it, but it all depends on the ground."
