luca Cumani is delighted to have secured the services of Christophe Lemaire for Presvis in the Dubai Duty Free at Meydan on Saturday.
Ryan Moore was aboard 12 months ago when the five-year-old finished runner-up to the aggressively ridden Gladiatorus but the champion jockey has been claimed for Michael Stoute's Spanish Moon this time around.
Cumani and Lemaire have teamed up to good effect in recent years with the likes of Starcraft in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, and the trainer said: "It was disappointing that Ryan cannot ride but we were very lucky to be able to secure the services of Christophe Lemaire, who has always done so well for us."
Kieren Fallon had been aboard for three starts at the back end of last year and at this year's Dubai Carnival, but he terminated the partnership prior to Presvis' latest win.
He returned to winning form for the first time since scoring in Singapore last April in the Jebel Hatta on Super Thursday last month. Cumani added: "He seems in very good form and that will have put him spot on for the big night.
"His prep-race, where he quickened up impressively, confirmed that he is back to the same sort of form he was in last year."
