Granada U14's seal first win of the season

GRANADA FC recorded their first win of the season in the Under 14 Premier Division when they came from behind to beat Cherry Orchard in Meadowvale.

The Orchard took control in the opening half playing a strong passing game with lots of movement and they home side working hard defensively. But for all their effort they had only one goal to show for their efforts.

Granada gathered themselves after the break and played with five across the middle and snatched a goal when Adam Dixon dis-possessed a defender and finished brilliantly.

They scored a second thanks to the quick thinking and even quicker feet of Jeff Kenny to give them the lead, while Dixon netted his second of the day to give them a 3-1 lead. The visitors had a strong claim for a penalty turned and they along with the disallowed effort in the opening probably that it was not going to be their day.
