THE GAA's version of the X-Factor - the search to find a Mayo management star - reaches its grand finale at McHale Park tonight.
Tommy Lyons, James Horan and Anthony McGarry have all been interviewed by a five-man sub-committee and one of this trio will be proposed for ratification at a full county board meeting at 9pm.
Some sources are suggesting that Horan has come with a late burst to overtake former Dublin boss Lyons, but others believe the contest remains wide open. County board chairman James Waldron was maintaining a strict "no comment" line.
