Walsh fails to make Cork side

ALL STAR midfielder Aidan Walsh has failed to make the declared Cork team for Sunday's Munster SFC semi-final against Clare - the sceptics are not convinced, however, given manager Conor Counihan's penchant for match-day tinkering.

On paper, the Rebels have made one change from the team that annihilated Limerick, Eoin Cadogan returning from an Achilles injury at the expense of Paudie Kissane. Walsh, a late quarter-final withdrawal with a dead leg, is reportedly back to fitness so it remains to be seen if Alan O'Connor and Pearse O'Neill remain in midfield situ. Elsewhere, Peter Canavan has handed SFC debuts to goalkeeper Chris Snow and wing-back Declan McCusker (Ederney St Joseph's clubmates) for Fermanagh's Ulster quarter-final home clash with Cavan.
