Vincent de Paul latest to receive Skerries benefit

SUPER SAINTS . . . the Skerries Harps Adult Golf Society is now in its seventh year. Each year they donate the proceeds of their Christmas outing to a local charity.

St Vincent De Paul were most grateful for the recent cheque they received for €2,500 from Harps. The St Vincent De Paul do marvellous work in the Skerries area.

GIFT GRUB . . . for the Parnells U11s who have received new gear from O'Shea's Irish Restaurant of Temple Bar.

"We much appreciate the kind gesture and the players are thrilled with their new strip," says Parnells chairman Frank Gleeson.

RECRUITMENT DAY . . . this Saturday, February 27, at St James Gaels at the Iveagh Grounds on the Crumlin Road (10.30am to 12.30pm).

DISCO CHANCE . . . with DJ Des at the St Anne's disco that takes place on the last Thursday of each month (8.pm to 10.pm). It has been running for six years.

"All young people, aged 11-14, are welcome to come join in the fun," says promoter Lee Moroney. "It's great value at €7. It help generates income for our ever-growing juvenile section."

QUIZ NIGHT . . . this Friday at The Paddocks, Littlepace. It's a fundraiser for Erin go Bragh (9pm) at €40 per team.

Whitehall colmcille . . . are running a charity quiz tonight in aid of Haiti at 8.30pm in the clubhouse, all support greatly needed. All money goes to GOAL who are doing fantastic work in the devastated Caribbean country.
