The squad was assembled in double-quick time, and now they have won two out of two in the Leinster U14A Championship.
It was only in early February that the call went out for players to attend trials. The response was remarkable.

Trials were arranged north and south of the Liffey. Over 170 players arrived.
Such was the time pressure, there was no time for training or challenge matches.
But the young Dubs just rolled into town, defeating Kildare in their first Championship clash at Westmanstown.
Then last Saturday afternoon they enjoyed a handsome victory over Meath at St Margaret's.
The players have gelled superbly, much to the delight of their mentors, who have nothing but praise for their attitude.
There's an impressive maturity in the panel. Many of the players are regulars on their club's U15s and U16s.
Saturday's show was all about pace and precision. The Blues hit a harvest of lovely scores.
Their confidence soared as the hour went on. And there's a few more happy hours to come.
