The Mighty Quinn leads Olaf to win

NAOMH OLAF cemented their mid-table position as they overcame a battling Na Fianna by 1-13 to 0-11 in their Dublin Adult Hurling League Division 3 encounter at Páirc Uí Bhriain last Saturday evening.

The hosts got off to a flying start as Declan O'Dwyer raced through the middle before passing to Robert Quinn, who fired home for the game's solitary goal in the 6th minute.

That score proved decisive in a contest spoiled by a gusting cross-field breeze and with O'Dwyer adding four points from play, Naomh Olaf confirmed their win thanks to the defensive efforts of full-back John Connors, centre-back Feargal Máirtín and Emmet Laffan.

On Friday evening, the free-taking of Nathan Kidd proved pivotal as Naomh Barróg maintained their promotion ambitions following a hard-earned 1-20 to 2-12 win over Fingallians in Lawless Park.

In AHL4, Lucan Sarsfields eased their relegation concerns as they proved far too strong for a seriously depleted Trinity Gaels outfit, with Sars winning by 5-12 to 1-14 at the 12th Lock.

The hosts dominated from the opening whistle with the likes of John Whitty, Sean Ryan, Oisin McCabe and Colm McSweeney excelling in their defensive duties.

Further up the field, Rob Ennis showed well at centrefield with both Eoin Ó Conghaile and Paddy Ward benefiting from the tireless efforts of wing-forwards Conor Moran and Brain Fagan.
