Temp Head - Curtin to tie the knot

Curtin to tie the knot with Sheena!DAVID CURTIN might well be on his bike to get him to the church on time this Saturday.

The Boden boy faces the biggest throw-in of his life as the wedding bells will ring out for himself and the beautiful Sheena McDonnell.

Sheena is with St Jude's, where her camogie playing ability and coaching skills have earned her lots of rich applause.

Both teach at St Colmcille's Junior National School in Knocklyon, where the order will go out on Friday that there is to be no homework for the week!

David spent 11 years as a Dublin senior hurler. He captained the side along the way and got to know the bad days as well as the good.

He was a pivotal presence as Ballyboden St Enda's won their five successive Dublin Senior Hurling Championship titles.

And he was back on board again this season as they regained the claret jug. Reaching the top of the sport hasn't been easy.

David was born with haemophilia, a blood disorder.

His sporting career has been an inspiration to others. And in a sponsored cycle from Malin to Mizen, he and his fellow cyclists raised over €33,000 for the Irish Haemophilia Society.

But it looks like he'll have to stay on the bike to keep up with Sheena, who recently completed the Dublin City Marathon in under four hours!
