THE third annual Anthony Talbot Memorial Blitz took place at a sun-drenched Russell Park.
More than 160 students took part in the event, which salutes the memory of the former caretaker at Coláiste Pobail Setanta. The boys football winners were Coláiste de híde. Mount Sackville completed the three-in-a-row in the girls football, while Castleknock Community College retained their camogie crown.
The Blanchardstown District and Credit Union sponsored the occasion. "We are very grateful to them, and indeed all the volunteers that made the day such a success," says official, Stephen Moore.
"A special thanks to all the members at St Brigid's, the teachers, referees and transition year students. It was a day that Anthony himself would have been proud of, and one which continues to remember him in a meaningful and celebratory way."
