Special Ks to kick on

(Carlow, Tomorrow, 2.30)

IT might have been rightly celebrated as their first county title ever but Kilmcormac/Kiloughey find themselves in a very prosperous position just now.

Their win over St Rynagh's in the Offaly decider three weeks back ended a painful run of being beaten in three finals and six semi-finals in the last decade but now, all of a sudden, they are by virtue of the kindest of draws, favourites to make a Leinster final.

Oulart-The Ballagh, Kilmacud Crokes and the eventual Kilkenny champions all reside on the hairier side of the draw and with the likes of Ciarán Slevin and Daniel Currams very much on song during their historic Offaly triumph, they should have too much for Mount Leinster Ranger, even if it is the Carlow champion's fifth time to play in this particular competition.

ODDS: Mount Leinster 11/5, Draw 11/1, Kilcormac/Kiloughey 2/5

VERDICT: Kilmcormac/Kiloughey
