EAMONN CALLAGHAN will lead Kildare into Leinster SFC battle against Laois in Tullamore tomorrow night - but there's no place in the starting team announced today for former All Star defender Peter Kelly or key forward Niall Kelly.
There are unconfirmed reports that both are out through injury.
Laois have named the same team that cruised past Carlow.
On the hurling front, ten days after coming out of retirement, Brian Murphy has been rewarded with an instant starting recall for Cork's Munster SHC semi-final against Waterford.
The All-Ireland winner and former All Star is named at corner-back by Jimmy Barry-Murphy in one of three changes from the Rebel team blitzed by the Deise in the league final.
Murphy displaces Aidan Ryan, Damien Cahalane replaces the injured Lorcán McLoughlin while Luke O'Farrell gets the full-forward nod, Rob O'Shea dropping out of the attack.
Waterford defender Noel Connors (inset) is sceptical as to whether Maurice Shanahan (bruised knee) can play a part against the Rebels, saying: "Look, 50-50 coming up to the week of a championship match, I don't think you can go out."
