Sam makes his way around to Lusk launch

SAM MAGUIRE was in attendance in Lusk on Saturday night as Round Tower's celebrated the launch of their new website and the official unveiling of refurbished dressing rooms, writes Diarmuid Geraghty.

The Fingal Lord Mayor Gerry Maguire, Fianna Fáil Senator Darragh O'Brien and various long-serving members of the club attended the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Stephen O'Connell, chairman of Round Tower, spoke of his delight at the developments in the club and looked back fondly over Round Tower's long distinguished history (having been founded in 1906) and the need to improve the facilities to cater for the ever-growing numbers coming to the club.

Andy Kettle, chairman of the Dublin County Board, was there to witness another highlight of the evening, which was the launch of the club's new website, www.roundtowerslusk.ie.

Round Tower is a constantly growing club, having 105 children attending the nursery on Saturday mornings with 11 Juvenile teams (including two girls' teams), minor and two adult teams.

Huge credit must go to Shane Treanor (Games Promotion Officer) who works tirelessly to promote Gaelic games.
